Summer Schedule
CommuterLit will be taking its annual summer break starting on Canada Day July 1st. We’ll return on Tuesday, September 3. The Editorial Critique portals will remain open and submissions will be critique on a first-come first-serve basis. General Submissions will also remain open, but do not expect to hear back from the editor until September. CommuterLit Writing Circle monthly meetings have adjourned for the summer and will resume the second week of September.

Sharon Frayne’s short story, “Amphibians” was a winner in the Canadian Authors Association (Toronto) contest, and will be published in the upcoming 2024 Anthology. Her personal essay, ‘I’m NOT Goldilocks’ won the Cambridge Celebration of the Arts Literary contest. Sharon’s reading and interview was filmed by Conestoga College and will be televised soon. She’ll be at Minden’s BOOKAPALOOZA in July with her two novels, Caught Between the Walls, and The Sound of a Rainbow.
Julie Johnson is excited to announce that her poetry anthologies and comedy novels Hill ofGreens and The Daisy Chain will be available as part of a promotion on Smashwords for the month of July as part of their Annual Summer/Winter Sale! The sale starts on July 1.
Sylvia Barnard, author of Rhubarb, Strawberries, and Willows, is excited to announce the publication of her second novel, A Hyphenated Life. The book is available at Amazon and Friesen Press Bookstore. The ebooks are available on Kobo, Kindle, Google, Nook, etc.
