Have any of you participated in NaNoWriMo — where you commit to write a 50,000-word novel in the month of November? As a way to kickstart my writing, which has languished for a few months now, I will be participating for this year for the first time. I totally expect to fall short, but, hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Anybody have any advice for me? Email me at admin-at-commuterlit-dot-com, or leave a comment below.

Yes, I’ve done NaNoWriMo a few times and managed to complete one a few years ago! It was fun if you have the time to devote to it for the whole month. I found listening to music helped me get inspired to start writing and I allowed myself to write about anything and everything to start myself off each day then once the wheels were greased I’d write relative to my project.
