WEDNESDAY: Beauty in the Dance of Dawn

Dawn seeps between horizon and sky
splashing over darkness
with her own many-coloured cloak
slowly she spills over dark,
until her ranges, yellows,
have washed over all
purple, rinsing them to
a brilliant blue.
As her magic colours dance along
sky, birds join in on ground
along horizon line, in air
dashing from cloud to cloud
and I, I also join the dance
revelling in the triumph
of bright colours, of hope
over darkness.
