Keenan, Mike

Based in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Mike Keenan is an award-winning poet, columnist, podcaster, blogger, photographer, and speaker. He has a B.A. English (Western), a B.P.E. Kinesiology (McMaster), and a M.Ed. (SUNY at Buffalo). He has been published in major Canadian newspapers and magazines such as National Geographic Traveler, Buffalo Spree, Stitches, and wrote humour columns in the St. Catharines Standard for 17 years. He currently writes columns for Seniors Review Magazine (travel & performing arts) and The St. Catharines Blog.

He has published a book: Don’t Ever Quit, A Journal of Coping with Crisis & Nurturing Spirit, produces podcasts on retired humour and travel and has led writing workshops, including a week-long course at The Chautauqua Institution in New York. He is the Past President of TMAC (Travel Media Association of Canada) and a member of SATW (Society of American Travel Writers).
