Handler, Willie

Willie Handler was born in Toronto and has continued to live in the region. He worked in the Ontario public service for many years before leaving in 2012. He has always had an interest in creative writing, in particular humour. His favourite humourists are Groucho Marx, Woody Allen, Mel Brooks and Dr. Seuss. He is no stranger to tragedy, having been a long-time suffering Toronto Maple Leafs fan.  Willie is recently released his first novel, The Road Ahead, a political satire. He is currently working on a second humour novel about a chef who is part of the first permanent colony on Mars. Some of his humourous short stories have been featured on showmethefunnyca.wordpress.com.
