James BarkerJames Barker was raised on farms in Northern Manitoba, and moved to Toronto for his education. He became director of a Provincial Planning Secretariat in the GTA, dedicated to protecting green space. He has tried to live most of his life outdoors. His passion is boating and wilderness photography of the Georgian Bay Islands. He currently lives in Niagara on the Lake with his wife and enjoys wine, friends and writing about his experiences. He keeps his workboat on Georgian Bay at a marina north of Parry Sound.
