Appleby, Selina

Selina ApplebySelina Appleby was a researcher and story editor at CBC TV. She lived in Toronto for fifty years and then moved to Niagara-on-the-Lake.

She wrote a series of pithy insights which reflect her early life in Toronto and later her observations of the people who work and live in Niagara. This is available as a book entitled ‘Field of Empties’ from Amazon

The material for this album of stories began in the thirties as she was turning over upside down on the garden fence railing overlooking the corner saloon in downtown Toronto, and ends early 2000 looking out from her window at the tourist-drenched streets of Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Selina has three grown children who are a source of infinite joy.
