A year and a half ago Michele asked herself the question; how could she challenge herself for the next four years. The answer was, write!
She took a writing class, she went to conferences, she submitted what she’d written to journals and publishers and editors, she joined a writing group to which she has to submit every two months and she writes. She thinks the most important aspect of all of this is the community that is developing for her around this commitment and the discipline of needing to produce a certain amount of writing. She has written two YA chapter books, several short stories and she is now writing an adult novel. She is so pleased that Commuterlit has accepted one of her stories and she knows that now, instead of just telling people she is writing, she is showing them.
