Wakula, Norah

Norah Retreat-MCU

Norah Wakula’s writing has appeared in Silvershotz Magazine, CommuterLit and The Globe and Mail. She’s won awards at GritLit’s annual Writing Competition in 2016 and 2018 as well as been short and long listed in other prestigious Canadian writing competitions. Most recently, Norah’s work has been included in the bilingual anthology Under the Volcano, a co-production of Under the Volcano and the Casa de Cultura del Estado de Morelos, Mexico (Ministry of Culture, State of Morelos, Mexico).

A prairie girl at heart, Norah lives in Hamilton, ON, with her husband, but fantasizes about living in the rolling hills of Tuscany or the scrub brush sierras of central Mexico.
