Martin Swanson’s fiction has been published in Now magazine, The Provincetown Poets, St. Mark’s Poetry Project and Literary Veganism. Essays on Sherlock Holmes and 19th century detective fiction have been published in the Baker Street Journal and the Baker Street Gasogene. As literary editor of Newave Magazine, I interviewed writers such as William S. Burroughs. I have also written photo-illustrated feature stories on the shooting sports for Guardian magazine. I am a student of fiction, American history and international relations and earned my MA in English at the University of Virginia. I have completed two novels and I am currently working on a book of short stories tentatively titled, Your Promise Means Everything.
