Submissions are now open to enter our Flash Fiction Week 2024 contest. The contest accepts Flash Fiction stories with a maximum word count 500. Submissions are open May 6 – 27. The Top Five will be posted on CommuterLit the week of June 3-7, 2024. The first-place winner will receive a cash prize of CA$100; The second-place winner will receive a cash prize of CA$50 and the three runner-ups will receive a cash prize each of CA$25.

Katarina Vuckovic‘s poetry was recently shortlisted for the Bridport Prize (2023), and was also shortlisted for a short story competition with the magazine Blank Spaces.
Tamara Madison will be at Write On Door County in Wisconsin from May 12-25 for a writing residency, As well, she hosts a poetry reading monthly at DiPiazza’s in Long Beach, CA, on the second Wednesday of each month.
