young lads skipping stones
on Lake Huron’s blue waters
men at work
…
grey day
overcast
no demarcation
between water and sky
…
planting apple trees
in field of dreams
bordered by green woods
Visitors
every summer
pretty yellow goldfinches
fly in
for a few weeks in July
then
just as quickly
they are gone
haiku
purple irises
bloom so tall outside grey door
