Gloria was a long time columnist for The Elliot Lake Standard and the Tabloid (As I See It) Thunder Bay Chronicle Journal and Red Lake Times. She has had several articles published over the years in Canadian Nurse, Bedside Specialist, Animal Review, Whitehorse Star, Doorways to the Mind and more recently CommuterLit to name a few.

Kaarina Stiff grew up in Toronto and earned a diploma in print journalism from Centennial College. After a brief stint as a staff writer for a chain of community newspapers, she returned to school and graduated from Carleton University (Bachelor of Arts, History and Political Science) and the University of Waterloo (Master of Environmental Studies). For the past 13 years she has toiled in various government offices, and now writes for pleasure in her spare time. She lives in Ottawa.
