Joanna Gale is a poet who’s been published in newsletters, chapbooks, and anthologies through the Ontario Poetry Society, The Saving Bannister, Ascent Aspirations, magazines and on-line. Her first chapbook, Workshop Sketches, was published by Beret Days Press 2007. Her work also appears in a collaborative with five other poets titled Painting into Writing, published by Ink Bottle Press 2011. Her most recent book, published in October 2014 by In Our Words Inc., is a selection of poems/passages entitled Grains of the Olivewood. It’s a reflection of her journey through the trials of major medical crises. She is a member of TOPS (The Ontario Poetry Society) and WCYR (Writer’s Community for York Region). She lives in Markham, Ontario, with her husband.
