Doucet, FJ

FJ Doucet spent the first half of her life travelling the world and trying out odd jobs — including nanny, carnie, and cook — gathering fodder for future writing projects. She now lives in the GTA, where she is a member of the Brooklin Poetry Society and The Wild Nellies women’s creative collective. She can be found on Instagram @ fj_doucet

FJ Doucet’s poetry was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2019, and has most recently appeared in the spring issue of Verse Afire from the Ontario Poetry Society. She has verse forthcoming in the inaugural issue of Yolk, a Montreal-based literary journal, as well as the Martin Lake Journal out of Minnesota. Finally, her science fiction story The Fury of Mars is due to be released in a print anthology from Candlemark & Gleam press in June, 2020.
