Brown, Corinne

Corinne Brown has a Master of Arts in History. In 2009 she was introduced to Jane Austen’s novels for the first time. It soon became evident to Brown that while Austen focused on the business of lovemaking and the marriage market, the United States of America failed miserably in its efforts to execute a marriage with British North America (the English colony subsequently known as Canada). Brown’s historical novel, Strong Objections Against the Ladies, explores Jane Austen’s society in England and North American during the War of 1812.
