Anne Armstrong is a visual artist and arts educator. She has shown her paintings and photographs extensively. Recently she published a poem in Descant, and won a prize for poem at a Carousel launch party. She is interested in exploring the intersection of poetry and painting. She lives in Toronto.

Kaarina Stiff grew up in Toronto and earned a diploma in print journalism from Centennial College. After a brief stint as a staff writer for a chain of community newspapers, she returned to school and graduated from Carleton University (Bachelor of Arts, History and Political Science) and the University of Waterloo (Master of Environmental Studies). For the past 13 years she has toiled in various government offices, and now writes for pleasure in her spare time. She lives in Ottawa.
