Wetzel, Gerhard

After a long career in the financial services industry, Gerhard Wetzel retired to concentrate on writing fiction. Trained as a historian with a post graduate degree I published my first novel The Charcoal Painter in 2016. Since then I have developed a number of other manuscripts dealing with the US slave rebellion in 1831, the rise of spirit rapping in the 1850s documenting the ill-fated romance between Maggie Fox and the Arctic explorer Elisha Kent Kane. Other works are in various stages of development. As is evident from my subject matter historical fiction is my primary interest.
