Since immigrating to Canada in her mid-twenties, K. L. Shailer has worked as an ESL instructor, marketing manager for a credit union, editor, university professor, researcher, and academic administrator. She is an alum of the Humber Summer Workshop in Creative Writing and the Banff Writers’ Studio
She has two daughters and three grandchildren, and is at home in Calgary—and soon in both the Fraser Valley and southwest Ontario.
Now that she’s stepped away from academic admin, she’s revising several abandoned manuscripts, including Tales Told in Yoho, ten Rocky Mountain fairy tales plus a frame story. For a sample see her website: klshailer.ca.
