Gemma Meharchand is a Toronto writer who was born in South Africa. She has travelled to many places around the world, including the land of her birth. Her short stories and poems are based on observations of the ways people are affected by where they live. Her work is featured in Canadian Voices, An Anthology of Prose and Poetry by Emerging Canadian Writers, Vol. One [Bookland Press, 2009].
